Immunology

Immunology is the study of the immune system. The different parts of the immune system encompass a variety of structures and constituents within the body, given that its function is one of diverse capacity. The purpose of the immune system is to fight off infections, illnesses, and diseases which would otherwise be harmful to the body if not handled appropriately. It performs this function by utilizing the services of different cells. Some of these cells are produced in the marrow of the bones in the skeletal system, and with these cells, the body is able to identify different harmful agents and deal with them appropriately.

This process of handling and eliminating foreign invaders is one that is conducted by cells unique to the immune system. Some of those cells are termed as T-cells, B-cells, antibodies, and white blood cells.

Each of these cells perform a specific task in what is denoted as an immune response, and in their coordinated effort, the body is able to maintain not only its overall health but also its homeostatic disposition.

The work that this system performs is vital to life because of the enumerable facets to nature and its perpetual march of trial, survival, and victory that arise from what is often interpreted as basic day to day living. Wisdom learned in times past is always able to find a place in the present, and with knowledge that has been attained prior to when it finds its greatest degree of applicability, there is an inherent element of fortitude given the capacity to exist as a fundamental element to one’s own survival and the subsequent community of which one is a part.

Philosophy spells great tells in the above notions, and found in its place within the above delineation are reflections and furtherings of an applicability that would otherwise be found absent if the teachings found present in the above philosophical notions were not imparted as they have tirelessly been found to be.

Applied philosophy finds the immune system as a construction which reflects one of the central dynamics found present in philosophical teachings. To be immune or to know how to fight off an illness is a powerful ability, and when knowledge is applied liken to the actions taken by the immune system, so as to ensure that no harm or misguidance takes place in the throes of one’s actions and mindings, it manifests as a compounded understanding that is made whole through the capacity to truly comprehend why certain knowledges exist as well as the wisdoms from which they form and originate.

Preventative knowledge is a term that could find fitting coining in the above, as the word knowledge is built around the symbolism and literal translation of ‘knowing the ledge’. The lessons found in philosophical teachings are wrought with this purpose, and as their design and implementation grow to be a part of one’s own unique understandings, they develop in kind to serve well in the continual flow of wisdom which acts as a preventative measure toward what would otherwise be of harm or detriment.
