Spirituality
Spirituality is a study and an artform which is termed to convey
an understanding of wisdoms found present as spiritual knowledges. It is unique
to markedly metaphysical teachings which are rooted in traditional wisdoms and
practices. The purpose of spirituality is to cultivate and foster healthy
understandings of the spirit and, in turn, be able to build upon the knowledges
which have allowed for said cultivation to find yield.
Philosophical notions surrounding this manner of learning are
analogous to the fundamentals situated at the base of spiritual practice.
Wisdom is the key element in these fundamentalities, and as an integral
component of philosophy, it places itself directly in the knowledges consistent
with spiritual teaching.
The applicability of these teachings are where the broad
implications found between the spirit and its philosophies become narrowed and
unique in their articulation. This is so because of the inherent nature of
spirituality to be a concept which takes the form of standing wisdoms that are
extractions from natural behaviors and the analogous contrast of philosophy to
bring about wisdom from unique interpretations. The spirit is something of a
seasoned narrative, given the interconnection it maintains with any and all
things, regardless of physical or mental characteristics, and philosophy is
often taken from these lessons that are unique in their occurrence, so the
novelty invokes a call to see various wisdoms as unique to the one who has
learned or taught them. This dynamic serves as a profound contrast to the
archetypal delineations often seen in ‘teach and take’ scenarios, as the lesson
is a teaching that is received as one personally gauges and receives it.
This contrast is further articulated in the phrasing of the spirit
being ‘old’ and philosophy being the ‘novel’ wisdoms of these ‘old’, or tested,
lessons. The two move as an entity of interrelation where one is the source of
knowledge, and the other is a term which contextualizes extracted wisdoms. The
applicability follows along as a perpetually evolving dance between what the
spirit holds and what one is able to grasp. The spirit is the teacher, and from
it, the student pulls various philosophies giving of knowledgeable understanding.
